Hey — I'm Jeff. I've spent the last decade in the trenches of DevOps and platform engineering, working with teams ranging from scrappy startups to large-scale distributed systems. I started JeffOps because I was tired of content that was either too shallow or too academic.
Everything I write, record, or present is grounded in real production experience. If I haven't run it at scale, I won't write about it as if I have. The blog, newsletter, and YouTube channel are my way of giving back to a community I learned everything from.
What I Focus On
My sweet spot is the intersection of platform engineering, DevOps culture, and cloud-native infrastructure. I care deeply about developer experience — the idea that the right internal tooling and processes unlock engineering velocity in a way that no amount of "move faster" top-down pressure ever could.
I'm currently exploring: Business case plotting against AI (solutions), platform engineering maturity models, and AI-assisted operations (the real stuff, not the hype).
